THREE of the quarter finals of the Captains Cup Team Aggregate knockout competition took place and it brought about three impressive performances from the trio of victors.
Alfreton Palmer Morewood No3 travelled the short distance to Clay Cross Brotherhood, and Carlos Zaragoza took an exceptionally high scoring opener 82-70 to set them on their way.
Jack Lowe's 54-51 win in the next kept them with their noses in front and with Alex Fisher in fine form, scoring a 75-40 verdict things continued to look rosy for the visitors.
Ady Lowe made absolutely sure in the next as he piled on the agony for the home side with a barnstorming 80-19 success and he then teamed up with Jack to secure the pairs leg for a clean sweep.
The final scores 357-226.

Paul Jarrett and Justin Weller notched 83 points and 89 points respectively to turn the game on its head for the hosts in the following frames however, and despite John Smith's narrow success, the writing looked on the wall.
And so it proved with Weller and Mark Newby securing the concluding doubles leg 59-39 to leave the final totals at 339-233.

Crich Comrades took a 298-228 verdict from Edgefold No2 with Ade Smith and Martin Byard scoring decisive victories after Jamie Wright had impressed for the home side following a tight opener edged by Paul Trevett.
