Belper Strutt No 2 and Bolehill No 1 fought out the team final at Jaxx Q Club and Chris Stubbs took the opener despite Simon Zoppi potting the last four colours to reduce the deficit to 13.
Ricki Slack then defeated stand-in Malcolm Whiting 81-48 before Adam Winson took pink and black against Andrew Brough for a 71-60 verdict.
A superb run of 39 from Justin Weller in the next gave him an 82-44 success over Ian Birks and then despite a defiant salvo of 31 from Slack, it was Weller and Winson who remained strong for a 20-point pairs victory for overall scores of 328-279.

Bullock doubled pink to take the first, then took blue and pink in securing the second before clearing green to pink to complete the whitewash after the scores had been level in frame three.
Meanwhile the Jaeger Trophy play offs saw seeds 7 and 8 make it through to the grand final as Matlock Cons defeated Matlock Club 3-1 with Graeme Wood giving the visitors an early lead on the black but Chris Parker top scored in taking the next and he and Charlie Hodgkinson later secured matters in the doubles leg.
Alfreton Palmer Morewood saw off Bolehill No 2 4-1 as Andrew Beardsley got them off to the best possible start and Jamie Rowland delivered the knockout blow.
