GOLF CLUB FALL AT BOLEHILL BUT RETAIN ADVANTAGE

MARTIN FORSTER continued his winning ways for BOLEHILL No 2
HOSTS BOLEHILL INSTITUTE No 2 upset leaders Matlock Golf Club 3-2 though the defeated cuemen still retain a two point cushion at the top of the T & M Motors Snooker League.
Ian Peacock opened his account for the season with a 73-63 verdict over last season's winning-most player Ian McKay to set the tone and Martin Forster continued his barnstorming start to the season with a fifth win in six outings to take the second frame 62-11.
Graham Jones (28 break) reduced the deficit in the next but a black ball victory in the doubles leg for Mick Bunting and Mark Sayer secured the win after an unfortunate in-off for the visitors.
Charlie Hodgkinson pulled one back at the end.

Bolehill No 2 went second with a 3-2 win at Edgefold. Rob Dicken took a re-spotted black to level Colin Marchington's early salvo but a run of 35 from Ricki Slack in the doubles leg helped contribute to overall success.

Belper Strutt Club, who took the league and associated competitions by storm last season, are clicking into gear after a slow start and scored a 5-0 success over Matlock Club.
Mark Newby and Steve Bullock took both of their singles and doubles legs as they moved off the foot of the table.
