ROBBO IS BACK IN GREAT NICK AFTER SUMMER RECESS

KEITH ROBERTSON started the new season in devastating form
BOLEHILL No 2's mercurial cueman Keith Robertson opened up with a barnstorming performance in week 1 of the newly sponsored Ashford Arms Premier Division, scoring breaks of 55 and 47 as he ran away unchallenged with the T & M Motors Player of the Week award.
Matlock Golf Club were the unfortunate team on the receiving end, having been already looking down the barrel when Kevin Munnelly took the opener for the hosts.
Paul Roe equalised in the next before Robertson took centre stage to ensure a 3-2 verdict, taking his singles and doubles legs emphatically with Charlie Hodgkinson  levelling in between.

Each of the Edgefold teams won 4-1 with the No 1 team recovering from Graeme Wood's early salvo for Matlock Club as Jason Ankers and Duncan Harwood took both their singles and doubles.

Edgefold No 2, as in last week's six red cup, defeated Belper Strutt Club with Josh Lee top scoring on his return to action though Mark Newby and Paul Jarrett avoided the whitewash in the pairs.

Alfreton Palmer Morewood's erstwhile squad men Andrew Haggarty and Guy Taylor saw the hosts 2-0 up against Bolehill No 1 and they were safely home and hosed by the time Ricki Slack's run of 32 in the concluding doubles reduced the arrears to the minimum margin.
