CRICH TAKE CONTROL AFTER EDGEFOLD'S QUICK START

DUNCAN HARWOOD gave EDGEFOLD an early lead
CRICH COMRADES took advantage of a week of inactivity for Matlock Golf Club to move within one point of the leaders after a hard earned 3-2 success at Edgefold Club.
However, they needed to do things the hard way as thier prospects were looking decidedly bleak after the home team's Duncan Harwood and Sam Lavelle had taken the opening two frames, 57-40 and 56-37 respectively.
Ady Lowe pulled one back in the next however, before Nick Berry continued his fine early season form to equalise before Lowe teamed up with captain Ade Smith to take the deciding doubles leg 61-36.

And Bolehill No 2 also tasted victory by the minimum margin at Matlock Club after Graeme Wood had given the home side the lead on a re-spotted black.
Martin Forster scored his fourth win in five games and Keith Robertson sealed overall victory thanks to a black ball decider in frame four.

Paul Jarrett briefly gave the away side the advantage but after Steve Burton (24 break) levelled matters again, he and Dicken turned on the style in the concluding doubles leg.

There was also a tight contest as Bolehill No 2 edged out Crich Comrades by the minimum margin. Cliff Gould and Nick Berry had given the Tramwaymen a 2-0 lead but Keith Robertson (breaks of 25 and 24) took both frames he contested after Mick Bunting had squared things on a black ball decider.
