SEAN IN FINE FETTLE AS EDGEFOLD No 2 GO FOURTH

SEAN DOBNEY was at his breakbuilding best for EDGEFOLD No 2
SEAN DOBNEY was the prime architect as Edgefold No 2 defeated Crich Comrades 4-1 to move into fourth position in the early stages of this season's Ashford Arms Premier Division.
Dobney notched breaks of 45,38 and 22 as he won each of his singles and doubles legs to lift the T & M Motors of Belper player of the week mantle, latterly achieving a century points haul in combination with captain Rob Dicken.
Dicken had earlier given the home team a 2-0 advantage after Tom Chambers had taken a tight opener whilst Ady Lowe was the only Crich player to get on the winners rostrum.

There was also an emphatic win for Edgefold No 1 who are four points clear after a 5-0 romp at Bolehill No 1.
Rob Muxlow had runs of 22 and 20 and Duncan Harwood notched a fine break of 32 as the biggest obstacle to their winning streak on the night came from an electricity cut which lasted almost half an hour.

Belper Strutt Club scored a fine 4-1 win at Alfreton Palmer Morewood with Paul Jarrett securing the decisive frame after Ryan Taylor had put the hosts in front early doors.

Matlock Golf Club remain second with a 3-2 success at Matlock Club with Graham Jones (breaks of 28 and 24) top scoring.
Mick Mackfall was victorious in both singles and doubles legs for the Dale Road outfit.
